AMD has been making waves in the world of desktop processors, and now they are setting their sights on the mobile gaming market. In a recent blog post, AMD showcased their Ryzen AI 300 processor and how it outperforms Intel’s new Core Ultra 200 processor in terms of mobile gaming.

One of the key advantages AMD highlighted was their HYPR-RX and FSR technologies, which give them an edge over Intel’s XeSS technology. According to AMD’s benchmarks, the Ryzen AI 300 excels in games like Forza Horizon 5, achieving 135 frames per second at 1080p resolution on Medium settings, compared to Intel’s Core Ultra 7 285V which only manages 68 fps.

In head-to-head comparisons, AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 also outperformed Intel’s Lunar Lake processor in games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with the Ryzen chip hitting 99 fps at 1080p Medium settings, while Intel’s chip fell short at 48 fps.

Despite some benchmarks showing Intel’s integrated GPU to be faster, AMD is confident in their Ryzen AI 300 chips and is claiming an average of 75% faster performance compared to Lunar Lake. As we approach the holiday season, AMD is looking to make a splash in the mobile gaming market and potentially steal some of Intel’s market share.

Looking ahead, Intel is gearing up to launch the Arrow Lake-HX and Arrow Lake-H chips for gaming laptops in early 2025. AMD is hoping to establish itself as a strong competitor in the mobile space before Intel’s new chips hit the market.

With the competition heating up between AMD and Intel, consumers can expect to see more innovation and advancements in mobile gaming technology. It’s an exciting time for gamers as these two tech giants battle it out for supremacy in the processor market.
