Valve has decided to start the party early by offering a discount on two of its Steam Deck models. The 64GB variant is now priced at under $300, while the 512GB edition is available for under $400. This deal will only last until July 11 at 10AM PDT, or until supplies run out.

The real star of the show is the 512GB (NVMe SSD) LCD Steam Deck model, which was originally priced at $449 but is now on sale for $381.65. This is a great deal considering the OLED version retails for $549. The 64GB (eMMC SSD) LCD model, which was originally $349, is now on sale for $296.65.

Both models feature seven-inch displays with 1280 x 800 LCDs, 60Hz refresh rates, and 400 nits brightness. The 512GB model also includes anti-glare etched glass. They come with 40Wh batteries that offer a theoretical eight-hour runtime, but will likely last around 4.5 hours on average. Each model also comes with a standard carrying case.

Engadget reviewed the LCD Steam Deck last fall and found that while it may be a bit bulky and heavy with mediocre battery life, it is still a great choice for gamers who are part of Steam’s ecosystem. If you can afford it, the OLED version may be a better option, but the LCD version offers a great return on investment compared to other handheld consoles.

If you’re interested in taking advantage of this sale, make sure to check out all the details before July 11 at 10AM PDT. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the upcoming Steam Summer Sale, which starts on Thursday. It’s a great opportunity to save on a wide variety of games.
