Electronic Arts has brought back the beloved NCAA football experience with the launch of EA Sports College Football 25 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. With the recent changes to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rules, players can enjoy all 134 FBS universities, over 150 stadiums, and numerous current college football athletes in the game.

The game offers various modes, allowing players to immerse themselves in the experience as a coach in Dynasty Mode, a player balancing student-athlete life in Road to Glory, or competing in Road to the College Football Playoff and College Football Ultimate Team.
Even before its official release, College Football 25 has garnered significant attention, with 2.2 million unique players participating in Early Access. Additionally, 600,000 EA Play subscribers have explored the game through the 10-hour trial feature, indicating a strong interest in the title.
This marks EA’s return to college football gaming since NCAA Football 14 in 2013. Following legal issues with former college players, the series was put on hold until now. The decision to reintroduce the game was made possible by a 2020 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on NIL rules, allowing EA to include real college athletes in the game.
In an effort to capture the essence of college football, EA has incorporated time-honored traditions such as fight songs, mascots, commentators, bowl games, and the prestigious Heisman trophy. The game’s soundtrack, featuring 167 college fight songs and an original theme song by Kris Bowers, is now available on music streaming services.
