Microsoft recently released an update for Windows 11, KB5039302, which brings several enhancements for users. The update includes new features that are being gradually rolled out to users, as well as some improvements that are being made available to everyone at once.
One of the new features in this update is a “Game Pass” recommendation card on the Settings home page, which is displayed for users logged in with their Microsoft account and actively playing. Additionally, Windows now supports Emoji 15.1, which includes new emojis like horizontal and vertical head shaking, phoenix, lime, brown mushroom, and a broken chain.
The “Show desktop” button has also been added back to the taskbar by default, and users can now create 7-Zip and Tape Archive (TAR) files via the context menu in File Explorer. A new compression wizard has been added to help users select additional formats and add details when compressing files.
Another new feature is the ability to copy files from the Windows Share window with a new Copy button. The update also introduces a new Account Manager in the Start menu, providing an overview of account benefits and allowing users to easily manage account settings.
In addition to these changes, the update includes bug fixes for issues with the Snipping Tool and safe ejection of USB devices. Users can install the update by selecting “Check for updates” on their PC or contacting Microsoft support.
