Anthropic has recently made upgrades to its Claude generative AI assistant, making it even more beneficial for office use. The new features, Projects and Artifacts, are now available to Claude Pro and Claude Team subscribers. These features allow users to better organize and track their work with the help of Claude.ai.
Projects serve as a centralized location for storing and interacting with data related to tasks. Users can upload various documents, code, and other relevant data into their projects. Each project includes a 200K context window, equivalent to a 500-page book, allowing users to ask Claude questions and receive customized responses based on tone or context. This helps avoid “cold starts” where users have to start from scratch each time they engage with the AI assistant. By having a knowledge base to draw from, Claude can respond to queries more quickly and accurately.
On the other hand, the Artifacts feature allows users to generate text, code, and other content through Claude. The output is displayed in a dedicated window alongside the chat, enabling users to interact with the generated content in real time. Users can also share the best parts of their conversations with Claude with their team in a shared project activity feed.
Both Projects and Artifacts are powered by Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Anthropic’s latest AI model, which outperforms other models like GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini 1.5 on various benchmarks. Anthropic aims to create AI systems that work alongside people to enhance their workflows and enable idea generation, strategic decision-making, and exceptional results.
In addition to these upgrades, Amazon has recently invested billions in Anthropic as part of a major AI push. AWS and Accenture have also partnered with Anthropic to boost AI adoption in businesses. ChatGPT, a competitor to Claude, faces new competition as Anthropic claims its Claude 3 AIs outperform it.
