Kim Kardashian has a new friend, and it’s not Pete Davidson or Kanye West. She has been spotted hanging out with a Tesla bot named Optimus. The robot, which is not yet available to the public, was featured in videos posted by Kardashian on X and her Instagram story.

In the videos, Kardashian interacts with Optimus, getting it to make a heart shape with its hand and dance like it’s at a luau. She even plays rock paper scissors with the robot. Kardashian also had the opportunity to sit inside a gold version of the robot in Tesla’s Cybercab, a two-passenger autonomous vehicle set to start production in 2027, according to CEO Elon Musk.

While Musk’s timelines have not always been accurate, with his prediction of a million robotaxis on the road within a year in 2019 still unrealized, Kardashian seemed impressed by the Cybercab, describing it as “insane” and “crazy.” Although Kardashian’s videos don’t show her actually driving the vehicle, Musk did retweet one of them.

It’s worth noting that the Optimus robots showcased at Tesla’s recent We, Robot event were not autonomous and were controlled by humans. Therefore, it’s likely that Kardashian’s experience with Optimus was also facilitated by humans. Despite this, Kardashian did not disclose if the videos were sponsored, as legally mandated for influencers.

Kardashian is no stranger to the Tesla world, as she already owns a Cybertruck. However, she recently faced an issue when she was pulled over for having overly tinted front windows. Perhaps Optimus can assist her in resolving this problem.

Overall, Kim Kardashian’s newfound friendship with the Tesla bot Optimus has generated buzz on social media. It remains to be seen if this partnership will lead to further collaborations or if it’s just a fun, one-time interaction. Regardless, it’s clear that the worlds of celebrity and technology continue to intersect in intriguing ways.
