AI is becoming increasingly valuable for automating tasks for busy small business owners. Synthflow, a Berlin-based startup, has secured $7.4 million in funding for its AI voice assistance platform tailored specifically for SMEs. Since its founding last year, the startup has raised a total of $9.1 million, indicating a strong investor interest in AI applications.
With close to 1,000 customers and double-digit monthly growth rates, Synthflow is experiencing a surge in adoption of its browser-based “no code” tool since its launch in December 2023. This suggests that SMEs are eager to explore the benefits of generative AI tools that can enhance productivity.
The new funding will be used for research and development to further improve the platform’s capabilities. CEO and co-founder Hakob Astabatsyan is focused on expanding the product’s utility and reaching a broader range of SMEs. Astabatsyan, along with his brother Albert and CTO Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, brings a wealth of experience to the startup.
Synthflow’s platform allows users to design AI voice agents without any coding knowledge. The interface enables customers to create voice agents that can handle tasks like appointment scheduling, FAQs, and information extraction. By automating these core tasks, SMEs can improve efficiency and free up human agents to focus on more complex customer inquiries.
In addition to English, Synthflow has added German and French language versions to cater to European markets. The startup aims to make AI technology accessible to non-technical users, emphasizing a user-friendly interface for designing voice agents.
Astabatsyan highlights the importance of transparency when using AI voice agents, suggesting that businesses disclose when customers are interacting with a virtual assistant. By leveraging AI to automate simple tasks and filter inbound calls, Synthflow’s platform can enhance productivity without replacing human jobs.
Looking ahead, Synthflow is working on more advanced features, such as live actions and connections during calls. By harnessing the power of AI to handle customer inquiries efficiently, SMEs may find themselves facing increased capacity and productivity. This raises questions about how businesses can effectively utilize this newfound efficiency in other areas.
The seed funding for Synthflow is led by Singular, with support from existing investor Atlantic Labs and other AI-focused investors. The startup’s innovative approach to AI voice assistance for SMEs positions it as a key player in the automation of business processes.
