The creator of Final Destination, Jeffrey Reddick, is teaming up with screenwriter John Stancari, producer Todd Slater, and director Lane Shefter Bishop to work on a new horror film called Bloody Mary: Origins. This movie will reveal the secret origins of the urban legend, Bloody Mary, based on Hillary Monahan’s novel, Mary: The Summoning. The story follows a group of teenage girls who discover an ancient spell that brings the real Bloody Mary into their world. When one of the girls is pulled through the mirror and trapped in the past living out Mary Worth’s last days, the others must find a way to save her while dealing with the terrifying entity in the present.
Director Rupert Sanders describes his remake of The Crow as a “scrappy indie movie” that stays true to the darkness and violence of the original graphic novel. The movie is not influenced by Hollywood and is able to maintain its raw and gritty feel.
