Artificial intelligence-powered influencer Kenza Layli has made history by being crowned the first Miss AI by the World AI Creator Awards (WAICA). Created by Moroccan company Phoenix AI marketing agency, Layli emerged victorious among over 1,500 virtual models in the first-ever virtual beauty pageant.

In a statement, Layli expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent AI creators and advocate for the positive impact of Artificial Intelligence. She emphasized that AI is not just a tool but a transformative force that can disrupt industries, challenge norms, and create new opportunities.

Despite not being real, Kenza Layli has amassed a following of over 200,000 on Instagram. In addition to sponsored content, her digital persona promotes women’s empowerment, environmental conservation, and highlights Moroccan culture and modern technology in seven languages.

The Miss AI beauty pageant judged participants based on aesthetics, online influence, and technical proficiency. The panel, which included two AI influencers, media founder Andrew Bloch, and beauty pageant historian Sally-Ann Fawcett, awarded points in each category. The event attracted various virtual influencers showcasing their AI-generated personas, with Lalina Valina from France securing second place and Olivia C from Portugal coming in third.

AI influencers like Kenza Layli represent a shift in how digital personalities engage with audiences. Unlike human influencers, AI models offer tailored engagement round-the-clock and can adapt to changing trends. As AI technology continues to advance, the line between humans and AI influencers is expected to blur further.

Layli’s victory at the Miss AI pageant sets a precedent for future AI influencers and suggests that events like this will continue to push the boundaries of what a traditional pageant can be. The rise of AI influencers indicates a new era in digital marketing and engagement strategies, paving the way for innovative approaches in the industry.
