Apple has finally introduced its take on artificial intelligence with the release of the developer betas for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. These betas offer a sneak peek at some of the Apple Intelligence features that have been highly anticipated.

If you have an Apple developer account, you can update your software and access the new Apple Intelligence features. Simply go to your settings and look for the option to join a waitlist. After a short wait, you should be able to start exploring the new features. Keep in mind that you will need an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max for iOS 18.1, or an iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or newer for iPadOS 18.1. It’s also important to backup your device before installing the developer beta, as the software may still be unstable.

Once you’ve gained access to the new features, Apple will notify you on your device. Some of the features included in this beta version are writing tools for proofreading, rewriting, or summarizing text. You’ll also have the ability to create Memories in the redesigned Photos app and experience updated Siri functionalities such as typing to the assistant and improved understanding of speech patterns, including stuttering.

While features like Genmoji, ChatGPT integration, and personal context and in-app actions for Siri are not yet available, they are expected to be included in future betas. The full release of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia is still scheduled for later this year.

As Apple continues to roll out more AI features, users can expect improvements in various aspects of their devices’ performance and capabilities. The integration of artificial intelligence into Apple products opens up a world of possibilities for users, making tasks simpler and more efficient. Stay tuned for further updates on the development of Apple Intelligence and its impact on the user experience.
