Intel Lunar Lake CPUs are set to be released between September 17 and 24, 2024, according to a new report. This news comes just before the Intel Innovation event scheduled for September 24 and 25. The report also mentions that the Core Ultra 200K ‘Arrow Lake-S’ will be available about a month later, along with the first Z890 motherboards. For those interested in the Core Ultra 200 non-K chips, they can expect a launch in early 2025 with the B860 and H810 motherboards, likely to be revealed during CES 2025.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger previously announced at Computex 2024 that the Lunar Lake series would be released in late 2024, aligning with the recent report. This means that AI PCs with the new chips will be available just in time for the holiday season.
With the impending launch of Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake, the competition is heating up in the tech industry. AMD’s Strix Point and Ryzen 9000 CPUs, as well as Nvidia’s next-gen GeForce graphics cards, are also expected to be released around the same time. Additionally, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chips have already started appearing in AI PCs, adding another layer of competition to the mix.
Intel seems confident in its position in the CPU market, claiming that Lunar Lake will outperform Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips in AI performance and power efficiency. The NPU in Lunar Lake is expected to achieve 45 TOPS (trillions of operations per second), and the GPU will provide 60 TOPS. While some may bet on Qualcomm due to its popularity and performance, it remains to be seen which company will come out on top.
The tech industry is in for an exciting period with multiple major releases on the horizon. It will be interesting to see how these tech giants compete for market share and push the boundaries of innovation to deliver the best products to consumers. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming releases and advancements in AI technology.
