Samsung recently hosted its annual Samsung Unpacked event, where they unveiled a variety of new Galaxy devices. Among the highlights were the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, two new smartwatches in the Galaxy Watch 7 series, the Galaxy Buds 3 earbuds (including the Buds 3 Pro), and the innovative Samsung Galaxy Ring.
The new Galaxy Z Flip 6 phones come with AI-assisted functions that can be accessed without even opening the device, as well as an upgraded camera with 2x optical zoom and AI zoom capabilities. The Z Flip 6 is priced starting at $1,100.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 also received significant upgrades, including an enhanced gaming experience, a new cover screen ratio for a more natural viewing experience, and a thinner, lighter design. The Z Fold 6 is available starting at $1,900.
In the smartwatch category, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch 7 series, featuring a new FDA-authorized feature that checks for signs of sleep apnea using advanced AI algorithms. The watch also includes a 3nm processor for faster performance and improved power efficiency, as well as a dual-frequency GPS for precise location tracking. The Galaxy Watch 7 starts at $300.
For fitness enthusiasts, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch Ultra, a premium and rugged smartwatch with features like personalized HR zones, multi-sports tiles for triathlon workouts, and up to 100 hours of battery life. The Watch Ultra is priced starting at $650.
Samsung also entered the smart ring market with the Galaxy Ring, offering up to seven days of battery life and features like menstrual cycle tracking, energy scores, sleep scores, and a double-pinch gesture for taking photos or dismissing alarms on compatible Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy Ring is priced starting at $400.
The Galaxy Buds 3 series now comes with a stemmed design similar to Apple’s AirPods, along with improved active noise cancellation performance, Galaxy AI features for language translation and voice commands, and enhanced two-way speakers. The Buds 3 are priced starting at $180, while the Buds 3 Pro start at $250.
Preorders for these new Samsung devices have already begun, with the official sale starting on July 24th.
