Google Maps has a hidden gem called Travel Time that allows you to see how far you can travel within a certain time frame. This feature is currently available for Walking and Driving navigation on the web version of Google Maps.

To enable Travel Time, simply go to maps.google.com in your web browser and hover over the Layers icon in the bottom-left corner. Click on More, then select Travel Time under the Map Tools section. A new panel will appear at the bottom-center of Google Maps where you can choose a time limit and method of travel.

When using Travel Time with Walking, you can select time limits of 15 or 30 minutes. With Driving, you have more options ranging from 15 minutes to 6 hours. The shaded region on the map will show you where you can travel within the selected time limit, but keep in mind that it may not be a perfect circle due to different paths available.

One thing to note is that the Travel Time feature does not take traffic conditions into account, so the estimates may not be accurate during rush hour or if there is an accident. Additionally, not all locations have Travel Time data available, and some may only have Driving data but not Walking data.

Despite these limitations, Travel Time is a fun and useful feature to explore and get a general idea of your travel options within a certain timeframe. Give it a try and see where you can go within your chosen time limit!
