Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, recently announced that remakes of older Assassin’s Creed titles are in the works. These remakes will bring modern reimaginings of the games, with better graphics and other improvements to cater to newer consoles and more powerful PCs. Guillemot expressed his excitement about revisiting and modernizing the rich worlds created in some of the older Assassin’s Creed games.

In an interview on Ubisoft’s website, Guillemot shared that the company’s goal is to release Assassin’s Creed games more regularly, but with unique experiences each time. He mentioned that the upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, set during the witch trials in the Holy Roman Empire, will offer a different gameplay experience compared to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is set in Japan at the end of the Sengoku era and features historical figures like feudal lord Oda Nobunaga. Shadows is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 15th.

While Guillemot did not disclose which specific titles are being remade, there have been reports suggesting that a new version of Black Flag, focusing on 18th-century pirates, is in the works. Black Flag, originally released in 2013, was a fan favorite in the franchise. Additionally, Ubisoft is expected to launch a new platform called “Animus hub,” which will allow players to access and play games from the Assassin’s Creed series. This hub, previously known as Infinity, could potentially serve as a store for players to purchase and enjoy various AC releases.

The announcement of Assassin’s Creed remakes has sparked excitement among fans of the franchise, as they eagerly anticipate the revitalization of beloved titles with enhanced features. With the promise of more regular releases and diverse gameplay experiences, Ubisoft seems poised to keep the Assassin’s Creed series fresh and engaging for both new and existing players. Stay tuned for further updates on the upcoming remakes and the launch of the Animus hub to immerse yourself in the thrilling world of Assassin’s Creed once again.
