Microsoft is up to some new tricks, my friends! They’re testing out a fancy power-saving technology in Windows and adding some AI actions to the right-click menu in good ol’ File Explorer. Pretty exciting stuff, huh?

What’s the deal with widgets, you ask? Well, Microsoft is shaking things up by letting Copilot make the decisions on how they’re laid out. The changes are part of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.4151 (Beta Channel) and Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5603 (Dev Channel). So, they’re not set in stone yet, but they’re definitely considering rolling them out to the masses.

Under the hood, Microsoft is testing out this thing called User Interaction-Aware CPU Power Management. It’s supposed to help reduce power consumption and make your battery last longer. Sounds pretty cool, right? Not really sure why this matters, but hey, anything to make our laptops last longer is a win in my book.
